Round-up: The action in the Premier League continued on Sunday, with the most notable one arguably coming at Villa Park, as Aston Villa hosted high-flying Leicester City. The away side took the lead in the 20th minute thanks to Jamie Vardy, who scored in his eighth successive league game, before the lead was then doubled in the 41st minute thanks to Kelechi Iheanacho. Aston Villa then halved the deficit right on the stroke of half-time thanks to a strike from star player Jack Grealish. Leicester then restored their two-goal lead in the 49th minute, before Vardy bagged his second goal of the game 15 minutes from time to seal a 4-1 win for Leicester, and their eighth in a row which is a club-record in the top flight. Sheffield United bounced back from their disappointing 2-0 defeat at home to Newcastle last Thursday by coming from behind to win 2-1 away at fellow promoted side Norwich City. The hosts made a positive start to the game and deservedly took the lead thanks to an Alexander Tettey goal in the 27th minute. After a poor first half performance, Sheffield United began the second half in markedly improved fashion, and were rewarded for it thanks to an equaliser from Enda Stevens in the 49th minute, before George Baldock scored 3 minutes later to give Sheffield United the lead, one which proved sufficient to give them the victory which has helped them maintain their unbeaten league run on the road so far this season. Another team who came from behind were indeed Newcastle United, as they recorded their second successive league victory. Southampton took a deserved lead in the 52nd minute thanks to a goal from Danny Ings, before 16 minutes later Jonjo Shelvey equalised for the hosts. It seemed as though the sides would have to settle for a point, until defender Federico Fernandez scored 3 minutes from time to give Newcastle the victory, which leaves Southampton in the relegation zone following Everton's victory at home to Chelsea yesterday. The action on Sunday came to a conclusion with a match involving two entertaining sides, as Brighton & Hove Albion hosted Wolverhampton Wanderers. In the end, neither side prevailed as they took a share of the spoils in a 2-2 draw. Wolves started the match the better team, and deservedly took the lead in the 28th minute thanks to a goal from Diogo Jota. However, out of nothing, Brighton equalised 6 minutes later thanks to a goal from Neal Maupay, before they took the lead only 2 minutes later thanks to Davy Propper. It will be seen rather ironic then, that it was Propper who would make the error which enabled Wolves to equalise thanks to Jota, for whom a goal was a case of London buses, as he had been waiting ages to score one, before bagging two at once.

The weekend's action finally came to a conclusion with a Monday night fixture, as West Ham United hosted Arsenal in London derby. It was a match in which West Ham were the better team for the first hour, and they took the lead in the 38th minute thanks to Italian defender Angelo Ogbonna. However, out of nowhere, Arsenal equalised in the 60th minute thanks to a well-placed finish from Brazilian striker Gabriel Martinelli, and West Ham absolutely collapsed after that. Arsenal then took the lead in the 66th minute thanks to a sensational goal from Nicolas Pépé, before Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang wrapped up the win 3 minutes later for Arsenal, their first since the 6th October.
