Round-up: In Tuesday's matches, there was a winner in each of the five matches played. After they made a rather uninspiring start to the season, Bristol City have won back-to-back games, as they inflicted a first defeat on Derby County and manager Phillip Cocu, as the Robins won 2-1 thanks to goals from Andreas Weimann and Josh Brownhill, with Jack Marriott scoring a consolation goal. Another team who had made a poor start, Blackburn Rovers, having lost both their matches, have also made it back-to-back wins as they claimed a precious 1-0 win away at Hull City thanks to a goal from Derrick Williams, with the Tigers having a penalty saved by Rovers' goalkeeper Christian Walton. Middlesbrough claimed their first win of the season as they edged their clash against Wigan Athletic by a solitary goal from Britt Assombalonga. Sheffield Wednesday bounced back from their defeat away to Millwall last Saturday with a 1-0 win over newly promoted Luton Town thanks to a Kadeem Harris strike. In one final game that took place, Birmingham City claimed their first win since the opening day of the season after they beat Barnsley 2-0 thanks to goals from Lukas Jutkiewicz and Alvaro Gimenez. In today's matches, Leeds United kept hold of top spot as they battled to an eventual 1-0 win over Brentford, as loan signing Eddie Nketiah stepped off the bench to score the winner. A change of manager for Huddersfield Town has so far not resulted in an improvement in results, as they fell to a late 2-1 defeat away to Cardiff City, as Junior Hoilett scored an 88th minute winner for the Bluebirds. It has been a great start to the season for Cardiff's Welsh rivals Swansea City, under the management of former England under-17 manager Steve Cooper, as today they made it a third win out of four, as they won 3-1 away to Queens Park Rangers thanks to goals from Bersant Celina, Borja Baston from the penalty spot and substitute Sam Surridge, signed on loan from AFC Bournemouth. It has been a disastrous start to the season, however, for Stoke City, who suffered a disappointing 3-1 defeat away to Preston North End, making it their third defeat in four league games. After they suffered an opening day defeat away to newly promoted Barnsley, Fulham have bounced back in perfect fashion, as they recorded their third consecutive league win, an emphatic one at that as they demolished Millwall 4-0 thanks to 2 goals from loan signing Ivan Cavaleiro, a goal from fellow loan signing Anthony Knockaert, as well an Aleksandar Mitrovic goal from the penalty spot. After they won their opening two games, it has been two consecutive draws for Charlton Athletic, as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Nottingham Forest, as Albert Adomah's goal cancelled out Lyle Taylor's early strike for Charlton. Finally, West Bromwich Albion and Reading could ultimately not be separated, as after Ovie Ejaria gave the Royals the lead in the 71st minute, he committed a foul in the penalty area two minutes from time which led to a West Brom penalty which was converted by striker Kenneth Zohore.
