Round-up: The Bundesliga weekend action came to an end with two matches played today, before the League (together with other European league) stops for a fortnight due to the upcoming international break. The first of the two matches involved two teams who had so far been struggling, as Werder Bremen hosted Augsburg, and the home side ultimately came out on top. Japanese forward Yuya Osako gave Werder Bremen the lead after just six minutes. It did not take long, however, for Augsburg to level things up, with Ruben Vargas doing the job six minutes later. Werder Bremen restored their lead, however, just 9 minutes later thanks to a superb goal from young American striker Josh Sargent. As if being 2-1 down was not bad enough for Augsburg, in the 34th minute they were reduced to 10 men as experienced defender Stephan Lichtsteiner was shown his second yellow - having said that, it did not seem to overly deter them, as they equalised again in the first minute of the second half as Ruben Vargas bagged his second goal of the game. There was to be one more goal scored in the match, as Osako grabbed his second goal of the match which ensured that Werder Bremen earned their first points of the season in a 3-2 win. The second match of the day involved last season's Europa League semi-finalists Eintracht Frankfurt, who hosted Fortuna Dusseldorf. It was the away side who would go head, as striker Rouwen Hennings gave Fortuna Dusseldorf the lead just under ten minutes before half-time. The game was turned on its head, however, as in the 57th minute Dutch striker Bas Dost, who last week was signed from Portuguese side Sporting Lisbon, came off the bench to make his debut and bagged a debut goal to level up the scoring. It looked as though the two sides would have to take a share of the spoils, however, just four minutes from time, after having assisted the first goal Portuguese forward Goncalo Paciencia this time scored himself to give Eintracht Frankfurt a 2-1 win.
