Round-up:
In Sunday's early kick-off, Tottenham Hotspur made it 4 consecutive Premier League victories and kept themselves firmly in the title hunt after beating Leicester City 3-1 in a scoreline which does not tell the full story of the match. Tottenham took the lead in the 33rd minute thanks to a header from Colombian defender Davinson Sanchez after a beautiful cross by talisman Christian Eriksen. Leicester City were awarded a penalty after defender Jan Vertonghen fouled James Maddison, though it could be argued the awarding of the penalty was soft. However, Jamie Vardy, who had just come on as a substitute, failed to convert the resulting spot kick as he saw his shot well saved by goalkeeper Hugo Lloris. Just 3 minutes later, Eriksen doubled the lead for Tottenham. Although Vardy missed his penalty, he did get on the scoresheet as he got Leicester back into the game in the 76th minute, before Heung-min Son wrapped up the win in the 90th minute.
In the late afternoon kick-off, Manchester City absolutely demolished Chelsea to go back to the Premier League summit (albeit having played a game more than second-placed Liverpool) with a 6-0 win. Raheem Sterling opened the scoring for City after just 4 minutes. Aguero doubled the lead just 9 minutes later with a glorious strike from outside the box, before making it 3-0 after Chelsea midfielder Ross Barkley inexplicably headed it from the edge of his own box into Aguero's path just over six yards from goal. Ilkay Gundogan made it 4-0 after just 25 minutes with a well-placed finish. Referee Mike Dean awarded Manchester City a penalty after Chelsea defender Cesar Azpilicueta fouled Raheem Sterling, and Sergio Aguero duly converted it to seal his hat-trick and in the process equalled the record for the most Premier League hat-tricks by a player (11 by Alan Shearer). Raheem Sterling wrapped up the scoring for City in the 80th minute with a well-worked goal.
