Leicester City have announced the signing of Turkish defender Caglar Soyuncu for a reported £19m fee, subject to being given a work permit.
A club statement read:
"Leicester City Football Club can confirm that an agreement has been reached with SC Freiburg for the transfer of defender Çağlar Söyüncü.
The 22-year-old has agreed personal terms, undergone a medical and signed a five-year contract at King Power Stadium, subject to a work permit being granted.
A Turkish international, Söyüncü made his senior debut for his national side at just 19 years old against Sweden in March 2016 and has since been capped a further 14 times.
Last season, the defender played 30 times for SC Freiburg as his side finished 15th in the Bundesliga, reached the last 16 of the DFB-Pokal and the third qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League."
