Arsenal have won the 2017 FA Cup after beating Chelsea 2-1 at Wembley Stadium.
Alexis Sanchez gave Arsenal a fourth minute lead in controversial circumstances. The goal was initially disallowed after Aaron Ramsey was adjudged to have been interfering with play in an offside position, but after consultation with the fourth official referee Anthony Taylor awarded the goal - in my personal opinion (though I may be a bit biased), the goal should not have stood as Ramsey was interfering with play. Chelsea, however, were really poor in the first half, and twice had to clear off the line, and Arsenal had a lot of the ball.
In the second half, Chelsea started the better, though Arsenal were still a threat on the counter-attack. In the 68th minute, Victor Moses got sent off for a second yellow card for diving, which was a correct call - and quite frankly only goodness knows what Moses must have been thinking. However, against many expectations, Chelsea equalised 8 minutes later thanks to Diego Costa. Arsenal responded straight away, as Ramsey scored in the 79th minute to give Arsenal the lead once again, which they held on to, making it their 13th FA Cup triumph.
